The WCO 88th Fellowship Programme

From 18 to 29 March 2024, under the WCO 88th Fellowship Programme, Japan Customs welcomed four officers from Customs authorities of Bhutan, Fiji, Gambia and Papua New Guinea respectively to the study visit to Japan.
Aiming to the modernization of each Customs administration, the participants deepened their understanding on practices of Japan Customs and discussed possible way forward to address the challenges of respective Customs administrations.



Workshop on Risk Management and Customs Procedures for Lao Customs (JICA Project)

From 13 to 19 March 2024, the Workshop on Risk Management and Customs Procedures for Lao Customs (JICA Project) was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further effective risk management and Customs procedures, 11 Lao Customs officials deepened their understanding on the risk management in Customs clearance and the operation through the lectures, discussions, and observations at Nagoya Customs.



Workshop on Training Management for Thai Customs (JICA Training Course)

From 4 to 8 March 2024, the Workshop on Training Management for Thai Customs (JICA Training Course) was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further effective human resource development, 14 Thai Customs officials deepened their understanding on the Training management and practices of human resource development in regional Customs thorough the lectures, observations and discussions by Japan Customs.



Workshop on PCA, Customs Valuation and HS Classification for Mongolian Customs

From 26 February to 1 March 2024, the Workshop on PCA, Customs Valuation and HS Classification for Mongolian Customs was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further effective tax and duty collection, 14 Mongolian Customs officials deepened their understanding on Post Clearance Audit, Customs Valuation and HS Classification through the lectures by Japan Customs.



Workshop on Enforcement and Risk Management for Malaysian Police (JICA Training Course)

From 26 February to 1 March 2024, the Workshop on Enforcement and Risk Management for Malaysian Police (JICA Training Course) was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further effective risk management, 10 Malaysian Police officials deepened their understanding on the risk management and enforcement through the lectures, discussions, and observations by Japan Customs.



Workshop on Customs Administration for ASEAN member states

From 5 to 16 February 2024, the Workshop on Customs Administration for ASEAN member states was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further improve procedures and operational practices on Rules of Origin under Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement, a series of workshops will be conducted over a three-year period. As the second event, seven Customs officials from ASEAN member states attended the Workshop to deepen their understanding on Rules of Origin and then developed their action plans to address the challenges of respective Customs administrations.



Workshop on Risk Management and Enforcement for the Philippines Bureau of Customs

From 22 to 26 January 2024, the Workshop on Risk Management and Enforcement for the Philippines Bureau of Customs was held under the activities of Customs technical cooperation.
Aiming to further effective risk management and Customs control, eight Philippines Customs officials deepened their understanding on the risk management and Customs enforcement through the lectures, discussions, and observations by Japan Customs.
