Implementation Status of Training(Fiscal year 2021)

(22 April 2022) Training for the newly recruited mid-career staff at section chief level

 From 1 to 14 March and 20 to 22 April 2022, the CTI conducted twice training for the newly recruited mid-career staff at section chief level. This training was conducted in Hybrid formats (online and face to face), they sharpened their mind-set as public servants and Customs officials, as well as, earned general knowledge necessary for their services.

 

Customs Technical Cooperation Course< Practical Class: Specialized Course >

 From 22 to 25 March 2022, the CTI held the Customs Technical Cooperation Course< Practical Class: Specialized Course > online. The course was designed for Japan Customs officials to acquire the knowledge of specific Customs areas and teaching skills required as lectures for Customs technical cooperation programs.

 

Customs Technical Cooperation Course

 From 7 to 10 February 2022, the CTI held the Customs Technical Cooperation Course online. The course was designed for Japan Customs officials to acquire the latest information of WCO capacity building activities and high level of teaching and communication skills.

Intermediate Level of Comprehensive Training

 From 13 October to 12 November and from 22 November to 22 December, the CTI conducted the intermediate level of comprehensive training online for the general service staff, who are currently positioned at the before-chief level at regional Customs. They acquired general knowledge and skills with respect to Customs businesses.

 From 22 to 26 November 2021, the CTI held the Customs Technical Cooperation Course online. The course was designed for Japan Customs officials to acquire the knowledge of Customs cooperation and teaching skills.

Advanced Level of General Training

 From 26 July to 29 September 2021, the CTI conducted the advanced level of general training by online for the general service staff, who are currently positioned at section-chief level. The training was meant for them to acquire high level of knowledge and skills as well as broaden sights and accurate judgement ability for the sake of their Customs businesses.

Practical Training for the comprehensive service staff

 From 31 May to 4 June 2021, the CTI conducted a practical training by online for the comprehensive service staff who would soon be promoted at section chief level. The training was meant for them to acquire practical knowledge on Customs services, thus to improve their operational capacity.

Induction Training for the newly recruited general service staff

 From 1 April to 28 May 2021, the CTI conducted an induction training by online for the newly recruited general service staff, who were hired as the university graduates, high school graduates, and mid-careers. The training was meant for them to sharpen their mind-set as public servants, and to acquire the knowledge necessary as Customs officials.
