1106 Items to be Described in the Import Declaration Form (FAQ)


  Any person who intends to import goods must fill out and submit the import declaration form to the customs office. The import declaration can be also completed by using the customs clearance system in Japan called NACCS (Nippon Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System).

  Following matters shall be written in the import declaration form:
  1. Address and name of the importer
  2. Code, number, name, quantity and price of goods
  3. Country of origin and shipping location of goods and name and address of sender
  4. Name and registration number of carrier (aircraft or ship)
  5. Location of storage of goods
  6. Address and name of the delivery place of a cargo
  7. Whether a cargo was transacted through EC platforms (B2C cargo) or not
  8. Name of the EC platform or other related elements in the case of a cargo transacted through EC platforms
  9. Other items as a reference

   Items 6 to 8 have been added as import declaration items from October 12, 2025.
