Activities in Central Custom Laboratory regarding to International Cooperation(2025)

    Completion of the attachment training in Japan under the WCO Regional Customs Laboratory Professionals Programme 2025/2026

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) accepted four Customs chemists from Costa Rica, Kenya, Papua New Guinea and Mongolia from October 27 to December 4, 2025. Based on the requests from each chemist, the CCL conducted the tailor-made training which aimed at improving specific Customs chemical analyses by utilizing instruments in the CCL as well as learning laboratory management skills.

 Since its launch in October 2013, the WCO, in cooperation with Japan Customs, has been providing the training programs intended to improve knowledge and skills in Customs chemical analysis in developing countries.

    Visit of Papua New Guinea Customs in the Workshop on Training Management to the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 4 participants from Papua New Guinea Customs in the workshop on Training Management as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL explained infrastructure of Customs analysis such as Legal framework, Organizational structure, Safety management, and Human resource management of Japan Customs Analysis. In addition, The CCL provided demonstrations of analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the experiment building.

    Visit of Cambodia Customs in the Workshop on HS Classification to the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 12 participants from Cambodia Customs in the workshop on HS Classification as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL explained infrastructure of Customs analysis such as Legal framework, Organizational structure, Safety management, and Human resource management of Japan Customs Analysis. In addition, The CCL provided demonstrations of analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the experiment building.

  • 2025. May. 12 – Jun. 6 The practical training on Customs chemical analysis for Royal Malaysian Customs Department in the Central Customs Laboratory

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received a visit of four (4) participants in the practical training on Customs chemical analysis for Royal Malaysian Customs Department, as part of an international activity under the Customs technical cooperation. The CCL explained about infrastructure of Customs laboratory and conducted the practical training aiming at improvement of their proficiency in Customs chemical analysis based on the requests from the trainees.

  • 2025. Apr. 15 Visit of participants in the WCO Career Development Programme

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received a visit of nine (9) participants (note) in WCO Career Development Programme, as part of an international activity under the customs technical cooperation. The CCL explained about overview of its function and the importance of Customs analysis, followed by demonstrations of analytical and inspection equipment in the CCL laboratory building.
