    Visit of Cambodian participants in the training programme on Customs analysis to the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received ten Cambodian participants in the training programme on Customs analysis, as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed them, and we explained overview of the CCL and Japan Customs. In addition, we also explained infrastructure of Customs analysis such as Legal framework, Organizational structure, and Human resource management of Japan Customs Analysis toward the establishment of Cambodian Customs Analysis Laboratory.

    Completion of attachment training in Japan under the WCO Regional Customs Laboratory Professionals Programme 2019/2020

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL), under the WCO Regional Customs Laboratory Professionals Programme 2019/2020, accepted four Customs chemists from Jordan, Mauritius, Pakistan and Uzbekistan from October 14 to November 21, 2019. During the period, the CCL conducted highly concentrated training, aimed at improving specific Customs chemical analyses with utilizing analysis instrument in CCL, and learning laboratory management, based on a training plan considering requests from these chemists.

The training programme intended to improve knowledge and skills in Customs chemical analysis in developing countries by the WCO in cooperation with Japan Customs, having been launched in October 2013.     Visit of Indonesian participants in the training programme on Risk Management and Enforcement to the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received fifteen Indonesian participants in the training programme on Risk Management and Enforcement, as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed them, and we explained overview of the CCL including Non-Intrusive Inspection Equipment. In addition, we demonstrated analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the laboratory building.

    Visit of participants in the WCO 79th Fellowship Programme to the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received four participants (note) in the WCO (World Customs Organization) 79th Fellowship Programme, as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed them, and we explained overview of the CCL. In addition, we demonstrated analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the laboratory building.

    Visit of participants in the GRIPS WCO Scholarship Programme 2019 to the Central Customs Laboratory (CCL)

The CCL welcomed 10 participants (note) in the GRIPS WCO Scholarship Programme as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL presented CCL’s overview and explained the importance of Customs analysis to support further facilitating trade procedures. In addition, the staffs of CCL provided demonstrations of analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the laboratory building.

    Visit of participants in the WCO 78th Fellowship Program at the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 4 participants in the WCO 78th Fellowship Program (note), as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed them, and explained CCL’s overview and the importance of Customs analysis for further facilitating trade procedure. The CCL also explained activities as the Regional Customs Laboratory (RCL) to support the WCO members in the region to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of Customs Laboratory analysis work. The CCL provided demonstrations of analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the experiment building.

This is one of the human resource development programmes implemented by WCO in cooperation with Japan. The countries of four participants are as follows:
Cuba, Dominican Republic, Morocco and Nicaragua

    Visit of the officers from CRCL India at the CCL

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 3 officers from the Central Revenues Control Laboratory (CRCL), India as an international activity under customs technical cooperation.
The CCL welcomed them, and explained overview of CCL’s management system and Capacity Development activities as WCO RCL Japan. In addition, we share the information of laboratories task overview and Research & Development activities each other. The CCL also provided demonstrations of analytical instruments and inspection equipment in the experiment building.

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received a visit of 10 scholarship students in the WCO (World Customs Organization) SMIPRP (note), as an international activity under Customs Technical Cooperation. The CCL welcomed them, and explained its overview and the importance of Customs analysis to them, followed by demonstrations of analytical equipment and inspection equipment in the CCL laboratory building.
