Activities in Central Custom Laboratory regarding to International Cooperation(2015)
- 2015.Nov.27 Completion of attachment training for the first group of the WCO/Japan Regional Customs Laboratories Programme 2015/2016
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL), under the WCO / Japan Regional Customs Laboratories Programme 2015/2016, accepted three Customs chemists from Bangladesh, Colombia and Serbia from October 13 to November 27, 2015. During the period, CCL conducted highly concentrated training aimed at improving Customs chemical analysis and learning laboratory management, based on a training plan considering requests from these chemists.

The training programme intended to improve knowledge and skills in Customs chemical analysis in developing contries by the WCO in cooperation with Japan Customs, having been launched in October 2013. The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 9 Customs officers from nine countries (Note) which are members of the Oceania Customs Organization (OCO), as an international activity under the Customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed 9 distinguished visiting officers, and explained its overview and the importance of Customs analysis to support further facilitating trade procedures, followed by a guided tour of its laboratory building.

The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 16 Customs officers from five countries (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) which are members of the East African Community (EAC), as an international activity under the Customs technical cooperation. The CCL welcomed 16 distinguished visiting officers, and explained its overview and the importance of Customs analysis to support further facilitating trade procedures, followed by a guided tour of its laboratory building.
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received five participants in the WCO (World Customs Organization) 67th Fellowship Programme, as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received 10 participants in the GRIPS WCO Scholarship Programme (http://www.wcoomd.org/en/topics/capacity-building/activities- and-programmes/scholarship-programme.aspx), as an international activity under customs technical cooperation. The CCL presented its summary and explained the importance of Customs analysis to support further facilitating trade procedures, through a guided tour of its laboratory area including some demonstrations of analytical instruments.
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) welcomed a visit of thirteen participants in a JICA Customs Administration seminar, as one of its international activities under the Japan Customs technical cooperation. For the visitors, the CCL delivered a presentation illustrating its overview and the importance of Customs analysis and then conducted a guided tour of its laboratory building.
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL) received a visit of four participants in the WCO 66th Fellowship Programme, as one of its international activities under the Japan Customs technical cooperation. The CCL explained to the visitors about its overview and the importance of Customs analysis with a PowerPoint presentation and gave them a guided tour of the CCL laboratory building.
- 2015.Apr.14 Completion of attachment training for the second group of the WCO/Japan Regional Customs Laboratories Programme 2014/2015
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL), under the WCO / Japan Regional Customs Laboratories Programme 2014/2015, accepted two Customs chemists from Sudan and Ukraine from March 2 to April 14, 2015 and conducted training on Customs chemical analysis, laboratory management, etc. (As for the WCO/Japan Regional Customs Laboratories Programme, please refer to the topic of 16 Apr. 2014.)

- 2015. Mar. 23-27 The CCL (WCO RCL A/P) contributed to the WCO National Workshop for the Cambodian Customs
The Central Customs Laboratory (CCL), as the WCO Regional Customs Laboratory for the Asia/Pacific Region (WCO RCL A/P), dispatched two expert chemists to the WCO National Workshop for the Cambodian Customs which was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 23 to 27 March 2015. The expert chemists, in collaboration with one senior officer from the WCO, provided a wide range of technical assistance for implementation of Customs laboratory in Cambodia.
