8002 To Become a Registered Customs Specialist (Regarding the Qualifying Examination for Registered Customs Specialists) (FAQ)


  Any person who wishes to become a registered customs specialist must pass the Qualifying Examination for Registered Customs Specialists that is the national examination.

  The Qualifying Examination for Registered Customs Specialists, which has been held once a year since 1967, is conducted by the Director-General of each Regional Customs and consists of questions determined by the Minister of the Ministry of Finance and aiming to judge whether or not the person has the necessary knowledge and ability to be a registered customs specialist.

  Any person who wishes to be engaged in customs brokerage as a registered customs specialist must be confirmed by the Minister of Finance upon application of the customs broker who employs him/her.
