3106 Code issued by Customs and Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures code(FAQ)


 

 "The Corporate Number※" designated in the social security and tax number system (Individual Number system) is to be filled (input) in the field of the importer/exporter code in the import/export declaration form etc., and as for those who do not have the Corporate Number, "Customs issued importer/exporter code" or " Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures code " is to be filled.

 "Customs issued importer/exporter code" is issued by Customs only to those who do not have the Corporate Number (individuals or the sole proprietorships). You can see the procedure on how to obtain and apply the code on the Customs' website, the page about application of the code issued by Customs.

 " Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures code " is issued by Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures. For the detail of the code, you can refer to the website of the Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures.

 When a Customs issued importer/exporter code or Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures code is filled in the declaration through NACCS, you can use the measures such as;
-The application of the periodical insurance and the periodical value declaration
-The registration as a Tobacco Specified Wholesaler
-The application of Collateral that can be used repeatedly for a certain period of time
-The payment by the Real-Time Account Transfer

 Please note that the procedure is necessary at Customs and NACCS center in addition to the application for Customs issued importer/exporter code or Japan Association for Simplification of International Trade Procedures code to apply the periodical insurance, etc.

 ※Note: "the Corporate Number" is defined in the Article 2, Paragraph 15 of the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures.
