4030 Overview of the Elimination or Reduction in Tariffs under the Japan Switzerland Economic Partnership Agreement (FAQ)


Based on the EPA between Japan and Switzerland, the tariff is scheduled to be eliminated over 99% of the value of trade between the two countries (over 99% of exports from Japan and over 99% of imports from Switzerland) within 10 years from the entry into force of the agreement.

Ⅰ.Agriculture, forestry and fisheries

Ⅱ.Industrial products

1.Japan' key commitments

     Almost all of the tariffs for industrial products imported into Japan are eliminated immediately

2.Switzerland's key commitments

     All of the tariffs for industrial products imported into Switzerland are eliminated immediately
