7. Customs procedures for exporting goods for process or repair

If you are in the process of reducing or exempting re-imported mail (*Article 11 of the Customs Tariff Law, Article 8-7 of the Temporary Tariff Measures Law), please visit Tokyo Overseas Mail Sub-branch Customs and complete all procedures.

Please bring the following items with you.
≫“Notice of Customs Clearance Procedure for Postal Matters from Abroad”
≫Export permit or a certificate issued by the customs office
≫“The Declaration of Confirmation of Exporting Goods for Process or Repair”
≫The examined Repair Agreement

We also ask for your cooperation in informing Customs of the date when you will visit in advance.
Please note that if you have not completed the tax reduction/exemption procedures at the time of export, your goods will be treated as taxable.
