4063 Elimination of Tariff on Imported Goods under Japan-Peru Economic Partnership Agreement(FAQ)


Japan is to either eliminate or reduce tariffs (concessions) in line with the schedule described in AnnexⅠof the EPA. Categories of concession such as tariff elimination, tariff reduction and tariff rate quota, etc. are prescribed in the "Notes for Schedule of Japan" of Section 1 of Part 2 of Annex 1 (Reference)

Tariff elimination as from the date of entry into force of EPA Asparagus(fresh), Wood products,  etc.

Tariff elimination by gradual and uniform tariff reduction on a yearly basis in "n+1" phase from the base rate

Negotiate on tariff commitment in the 5th year

Pineapples, Orange juice(frozen), Tomato purée, etc.

Excluded from any commitment

Rice, Wheat, Processed products of rice or wheat, Sugar, etc.
