4. Check the number of packages

Your multiple parcels may arrive in separate shipments and be taxed separately.

To avoid duplicate taxation, please inform Tokyo Overseas Mail Sub-branch Customs of the exact number of parcels.

Also, if you have already received part of them, or if you have received a “Notice of Customs Clearance Procedure for Postal Matters from Abroad” or a “Notice of Assessment of Duties and Taxes on Postal Matters”, please inform us of the postal number or the notice number.

Additionally, if the parcel is divided into multiple pieces, please ask the sender to indicate the number of pieces (e.g., 1/5, 2/5, …, or 1 of 3, 2 of 3…) clearly on the outside of each parcel and the total or item number on the invoice or packing list.
