The postal matter addressed to you is temporarily being held at Japan Post Co.,Ltd. Tokyo International Branch because the contents may be the age of 100 years or more.  Customs duty will be free on the products that exceeded 100 years and its age being proved by a certificate.  If you have a certificate of its age issued by a connoisseur or a management authority of the country of export, a museum or a university, etc., then comply with Customs.  Even if you do not have any certificates, or it has not exceeded 100 years since it was made, the tariff rate will be a general one.

If you import antiques that exceed 100 years

 

Ø        If you have a certificate

 

Please submit your certificate.  Please fill in the returnable post card (located at the bottom of the arrival notice) with your name, address and telephone number (where you can be reached between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays) and mail it with your certificate. If you wish your documents returned, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

 

Ø        If you do not have a certificate

 

Please fill in and mail the returnable post card (located at the bottom of the arrival notice) with your name, address and telephone number (where you can be reached between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays) and write clearly that you do not have any certificate and you cannot prove that it has exceeded 100 years since it was made.

 

If you import antiques that do not exceed 100 years

 

Please fill in and mail the returnable post card (located at the bottom of the arrival notice) with your name, address and telephone number (where you can be reached between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays) and write clearly that it has not exceeded 100 years since it was made.
