- A verbal notification of starting hozei work may be accepted when the Director-General of Customs admits it unnecessary in a letter after the nature of goods and other conditions are taken into account. Designated hozei work requires no notifications of starting and finishing hozei work in accordance with the provision of Article 61-2 of the Customs Law (Simplified Procedure for Designated Customs Manufacturing Warehouses).
