[ Summary]
- These are procedures required for exporting freight. An exporter is required to submit an export declaration to customs for required inspection before obtaining an export permit. Goods that have no export permit cannot be exported to a foreign country.

- In principle it is after goods to be exported are carried into a Customs Area (bonded area).

- Prepare and submit the following declarations and documents to be attached to the administrative agencies stated below.

- There is no fee.

1. Invoice
2. Permit and /or letter of approval for goods whose permit and/or letter of approval are required by a law and/or order other than the customs-related laws defined in Article 70 of the Customs Law (certification or confirmation)
3. For goods that require submission of specific documents upon export declaration in accordance with provisions of the Customs Tariff Law, etc. in relation to customs duty reduction, exemption, or refund, the specified documents
4. Regarding goods for which the declarant is going to apply for an export duty exemption, etc. for domestic consumption tax, etc. (not including consumption tax and local consumption tax), the declarant is required to submit an export certificate of exporting duty free goods or an appendix of export declaration.

Application form and description]
(The following form may be printed for use on an A4-sized (portrait) sheet of paper. )
- Export Declaration (Customs Form C No. 5010)
(Describes the nature of the goods, quantity, price, destination, name of the vessel or airplane where the goods are to be loaded, name of the customs warehouse, and other data required.)

- Submit the documents to the customs clearance section of the customs office having jurisdiction over the area where the goods are stored for export.

- Office hours of customs (8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. except on holidays for the administrative agencies)

No permits are issued for the following cases:
- A case where procedures are required for an export permit or approval by a law or order other than the customs-related laws, but have not been completed

- Any person may file a protest with the Director-General of Customs within two months from the day following the date of acknowledgement of a disposition related to a customs declaration in case he or she is not satisfied with that disposition.
