- A person who desires to store foreign goods in a customs warehouse

- Before the day that exceeds three months from when goods were stored in a customs warehouse
[ Method of submission]
- The applicant is required to prepare the following applications and documents to be attached and submit them to the customs section of the customs office having jurisdiction over the customs warehouse.

- There is no fee.

1. Invoice (or the equivalent and other documents necessary to determine the taxation standard (freight accounts, insurance certificates, etc.)
2. Certificate of origin (for cases such the application of preferential rates)
3. Certificate of import approval for goods whose approval is required by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry or the Director-General of Customs
4. In addition to the above-mentioned three kinds of documents, documents and certificates that certify an import permit or approval for goods that is required by pertinent laws and orders other than those prescribed in Article 70 (certification or confirmation) of the Customs Law. (Such documents and certificates include, for example, the notification receipt of a "certificate of food import notification" according to provisions of the Food Sanitation Law and a "certificate of quarantine inspection for import" according to the Domestic Animal Infections Disease Control Law.)

- Correct the title of the "Application for the Approval on Storage in Customs Warehouses (Declaration (Duty Payment) Form of Imports (Customs Form C No. 5020) and use the form.)
(Describe the nature of the goods, quantity and price applicable to taxation standard, category applied by the schedule of the Customs Tariff Law, place of origin, place of shipment, name of the vessel or airplane that transported the goods, name of the customs warehouse, and other data required.)

- Submit your application to the pertinent customs section of the customs office having jurisdiction over the said customs warehouse.

- Office hours of customs (8:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays of the administrative agencies).

[ Submission standard]
The customs office does not approve applications that fall into one of the following cases:
- A case where a procedure for a permit or approval of foreign goods is required by a law and/or order other than the customs-related laws and/or orders but the procedure for the foreign goods has not been completed
- A case where the storage of the foreign goods is not allowed according to a law and/or order other than the customs-related laws (for example, certificate of import approval is unavailable due to a provision of the Import Control Order
- A case where the use of the customs area is disturbed (for example, the foreign goods to be stored are rotten or damaged or likely to get rotten or damaged or likely to cause other goods to get rotten or damaged, or cause the storage of other goods to get difficult)
