The revision of the base year of Trade Indexes and the update of the previous data (Updated)

As, the base year of Trade Indexes has been revised from Year 2015 to Year 2020 on November 16 (on the press release of the trade statistics (October 2023 (Provisional)), the updated data based on the new base year are now available in the web-site (search page etc.) from November 29.
The methods are as follows:
(1) Time series data (Yearly) of Trade Indexes
The revised data since 1960 is now available.
The data from 1960 to 2019 has been updated based on coefficients calculated by comparing the indexes of the previous and the new base year on every sector.
The data since 2020 has been re-computed based on indexes of the new base year as 100.
(2) Time series data (Monthly) of Trade Indexes
The revised data since January 1998 is now available.
The data from January 1998 to December 2019 has been updated based on coefficients calculated by comparing the indexes of the previous and the new base year on every sector.
The data since January 2020 has been re-computed based on the indexes of the new base year as 100.
