Set of Multiple Parcels

The postal matters addressed to you are temporarily being held at Japan Post Co.,Ltd. Tokyo International Branch because the parcels were presented to Customs for clearance separately, but they appear to be part of a set of multiple parcels dispatched from a same sender at the same time. 

 

To avoid double taxation or other troubles, Customs instructs the addressee to provide the following information by sending a “Notice of Customs Clearance Procedure for Postal Matters from Abroad” (hereafter Arrival Notice) to the addressee.

 

-Total number of parcels as a whole

 

-Total value of the set of parcels

 

-Value of each parcel

 

-Location of each parcel          

 

         Eg. (in the case of four parcels as a whole)            

 

1/4: already delivered to the addressee without Customs duty and internal  taxes

 

2/4: already delivered to the addressee with Customs duty and internal taxes (9-digit notice number of the “Notice of Assessment of Duties and Taxes Postal Matters”)

 

3/4: currently held at Customs (9-digit notice number of the “Notice of Customs Clearance Procedure for Postal Matters from Abroad”)

 

4/4: not presented to Customs yet (If you are not sure about the location of the parcel, please make a tracking and tracing through Japan Post Co.,Ltd. Tokyo International Branch)

 

Please fill in and mail the returnable post card (located at the bottom of the arrival notice) with your name, address, and telephone number (where you can be reached between the hours of 9am to 5pm on weekdays) and write clearly all the necessary information we have requested above.
