Procedure required when a person who owns land or a building or other facility which is a designated customs area or facility, or its manager, intends to engage in one of the following activities:

1.  To transfer or exchange or lease or make other dispositions or change the purpose of the said land or building or other facilities
2.  Works of the said land or construction of a new building or other facilities in the said land
3.  Reconstruction, move, removal, or other works of the said building and other facilities

- Owner, or manager, of land or a building or other facility in a designated customs area other than those owned by the Japanese government, local public bodies, and New Tokyo International Airport Authority

- Submit your application as early as possible considering the time required for your intended disposition.

- Prepare an application and documents to be attached and submit them to the following administrative agency.

- Submit your notification to a hozei section official of the customs office having jurisdiction over the location of the designated customs area.

- That the use of the designated customs area must not be disturbed and that there must be no problem in ensuring the execution of this law

- Any person may file a protest with the Director-General of Customs within two months from the day following the date of acknowledgement of a disposition related to a customs declaration in case he or she is not satisfied with that disposition.
