- Submit your notification to a hozei section official of the customs office having jurisdiction over the customs area where the goods that you intend to destroy are stored.

[S ubmission standard]
1. That foreign goods must be destroyed (for example, by burning them so that the original form is lost), or be disposed of as waste that cannot be used for the purpose originally designed for because they are rotten or denatured, etc.
2. That goods are not those to be destroyed after obtaining approval from the Director-General of Customs (goods that do not fall into the reservation of Article 45 Paragraph 1 of the Customs Law)

- Submit your notification for approval when the said goods to be discarded are stored in a customs area and when your intended discarding falls into the category of destruction.
- When your goods fall into the category of discarding other than destruction, the notifier is required to go through an import procedure, depending on the condition after discarding.
