In accordance with provisions of the Customs Convention on the ATA carnet for the temporary admission of goods (ATA Convention), an applicant may go through the procedure of import or export with a carnet prescribed in the convention instead of submitting an import or an export declaration. This is a procedure for notifying the Minister of Finance when an issuer of carnets (guarantor body) joins the guarantee organization stated in the convention.
