This procedure is required before any of the following work is executed on a holiday for the administration or outside the office hours of customs of customs (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday).

(1)  Clerical work for approving loading articles for foreign freight vessels (airplanes).
(2)  Clerical work for approving the storage of foreign goods in a customs warehouse, hozei manufacturing warehouse, or integrated customs area
(3)  Clerical work for permitting customs work outside the hozei manufacturing warehouse (integrated customs area), for approving the carry-in of foreign goods into a hozei display area, and for permitting work outside the hozei display area (integrated customs area)
(4)  Clerical work for approving customs transit, or for transporting inland goods on a foreign trade vessel, etc. within the Japanese territory
(5)  Clerical work for permitting export (including reshipment) or import
(6)  Clerical work for approving goods before an import permit is issued
(7)  Clerical work for issuing certificates, etc. and for allowing reading of statistics

- A person who asks for temporary work for any of the seven types of work stated in the summary.
[ Time of submission]
- When requesting temporary work from customs
(Note) Submit your application within the designated hours of business because the customs needs to assign customs officers for temporary work in advance.

- Submit the following applications to the section of the customs office that will take charge of the temporary work you are going to ask for.
[ Fee]
- The applicant is required to pay the following charges by the hour when a customs officer engages in temporary work
(1) From 00:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m.: 4,550 yen per hour
(2) From 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p. m.: 4,100 yen per hour (not including the designated hours of business)
(3) From 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p. m: 4,550 yen per hour

- Submit two copies of the application. Affix revenue stamps equivalent to the fee required to the rear side of one of the applications.
