1507 Import value, etc. of specified GSP-covered industrial products, etc. (FAQ)

As for those industrial products to which the ceiling system is applicable as a means of suspending preferential tariff treatment, ceilings of their import value or volume (hereinafter referred to as "import value, etc.") shall be established at the beginning of each fiscal year and their actual import performance shall be watched. Any item whose import value, etc. is found to have exceeded its ceilings at any time during the fiscal year shall be deprived of preferential treatment for the rest of the fiscal year.
As for those products to which the said ceiling system is applied, each of their accumulated import values, etc. totaled up by item number (item numbers used in Annexed Table 3, paragraph 2, Article 8 of the Temporary Tariff Measures Law) at the end of each month is to be announced in the government gazette by the end of the following month, in accordance with the provision of Article 32 of the Cabinet Order for Enforcement of the Temporary Tariff Measures Law (Cabinet Order No.69 of 1960).
