1406 Foreign Exchange Rate Used for Conversion of Currency (FAQ)
In calculating the customs value, the conversion into Japanese currency expressed in foreign currency shall be made on the basis of the foreign exchange rate on the date of import declaration which the Director-generals of regional Customs officially notify every week.
Specifically, the rate shall be an average price of foreign exchange market for the week which is two weeks before the date of import declaration.
